Villa Z

A compact stone volume, a few deep openings, and a garden that does most of the work. The villa grows out of an existing building and the decision never to rise above the trees and prickly pears.

The landscape design — terracing, native planting, water — is an integral part of the architecture and defines its outdoor rooms.
