Two horizontal slabs and a travertine screen: the house is built out of shade. The living room opens entirely onto the pool, while the roof cantilevers just enough to block summer sun and admit winter light.

Interiors and exteriors are designed together, sharing one palette of stone, timber and planting, so the boundary between them disappears.
